Bixiga 70 is an instrumental big band known for its unique fusion of Afro-Brazilian rhythms, jazz, funk, and Latin music. Formed in São Paulo in 2010, the group emerged from a collaboration of well-known musicians from the São Paulo scene who produced their work at Estúdio Traquitana on Rua 13 de Maio, 70, in the Bixiga neighborhood, which inspired the band’s name.
With their vibrant sound and energetic performances, the band pays tribute to Brazil’s cultural and musical diversity in their compositions, making audiences dance to the universal language of music.
