Love is Blind: Evandro Claims He Was Prevented by Ex from Seeing Son

Evandro Pinto, known for his appearance on Netflix’s reality show Love is Blind Brazil 4, has addressed accusations from his ex-partner, Luana Mendes, of abandoning his 12-year-old son.

In a statement issued through his legal counsel, Evandro denied the allegations and claimed that he was prevented from fulfilling his role as a father.

The statement, signed by lawyer Karina Carmo, noted that Evandro sought legal advice in 2023 to “initiate a case for child support and visitation rights.”

“Evandro has been trying to contact the mother of his son since his birth, but she, resentful over the end of their relationship, has prevented him from fulfilling his paternal role,” the defense explained.

Evandro also reported facing threats and humiliation when attempting to communicate with Luana. According to the statement, Luana said her current partner had assumed “the paternal roles” and that any contact with the biological father would “only disrupt the child’s life.”

Additionally, Evandro mentioned experiencing depression and said he has been trying to reach out to his son since the child was born. “The absence of a father figure was due to circumstances beyond his control. Evandro publicly expresses his sorrow and regret and thanks God, as the humiliating and cruel accusations he has faced are motivating him to take action,” the statement read.

The message also noted that Evandro avoided taking the issue to court due to being “a humble person with limited financial resources and expertise.”

Evandro Marcos, through his legal team, wishes to clarify the defamatory accusations against him.

In mid-2023, Evandro sought legal assistance to initiate a case for child support and visitation rights.

During a meeting on 10/23/2023, he addressed his legal concerns and fears.

Evandro has been trying to contact the mother of his son since his birth. She, resentful over the end of their relationship, has prevented him from fulfilling his paternal role.

He continued attempting contact through his family, who tried to reconnect him with the child’s mother.

In one of these attempts, Evandro faced threats and humiliation and was told that Luana’s current partner had taken over the paternal role, and that his son did not need him.

Due to this, Evandro went through a period of depression. After recovering, he did not give up.

The child was born in 2012, and since then, there have been many attempts to establish a paternal relationship.

Being a humble person with limited resources and expertise, Evandro avoided the judiciary to resolve his situation, a challenge faced by many fathers in the country.

Despite the paternal absence being beyond his control, Evandro publicly expresses his sorrow and regret, thanking God as the humiliating accusations he has faced are motivating him to take action.
