Love is Blind Brazil 4 contestant Ingrid accused Leandro of rape during the show’s reunion episode, shocking viewers.
After accusing Leandro Marçal of rape, Ingrid Santa Rita stated that she has received psychological support from Netflix. The two had said “yes” on Love is Blind Brazil 4, and she accused him of sexual abuse during the reunion episode.
In an interview with Hugo Gloss, Ingrid confirmed that she filed a police report against Leandro and requested a restraining order against her ex-husband. Speaking about Netflix and the show’s hosts, Camila Queiroz and Klebber Toledo, she clarified:
“They [Camila and Klebber] were impeccable and essential. They gave me all the support during the show’s filming. It wasn’t shown, but Camila even held my mother. Both she and Klebber were very supportive and continue to be,” she said, adding that she has also received “psychological support over the past three weeks” from the streaming service.
Understanding what happened between Ingrid and Leandro
In a video posted on Thursday (07/11) on her Instagram, Ingrid, an architect, said that “rape is the word” for what she experienced after the reality show. “Leandro would wait for me to fall asleep… to try to fix the problem. In his mind, if he could have sex with me, we wouldn’t have any more problems. But he forgot that he needed to ask. It had to be consensual, as it had been until then,” Ingrid explained.
“I don’t know if you know, but a non-consensual act, rape, can also happen without someone necessarily penetrating you with a penis. Although he did that too,” she continued.
The architect stated that her ex-partner attempted to penetrate her while she was asleep. “Without an erection, limp. I would wake up and ask him to stop. I’d fall back asleep, and he would penetrate me with a finger in my anus or vagina. I’d wake up with him performing oral sex on me,” Ingrid recounted, visibly distressed.
Ingrid felt unable to react. “It was very difficult for me. I always saw myself as a very resolved woman. So, I used to say that this [abuse] would never happen to me. And if it did, it would be on the street. The person would have to kill me to do anything to me. But, somehow, it was already happening in my bed, in my house, for days.”
To avoid the abuse, she changed her routine, starting to sleep clothed or in different rooms of the house. “I began to feel disgusted,” she commented.
Emotional, she said that the situation would now be resolved in court. “I am protected by the Maria da Penha Law,” she stated.
