ASTRO (아스트로; debuted Feb 23, 2016) is a five-member South Korean (K-pop) boy group formed by Fantagio Entertainment. The group debuted on February 23, 2016, with 6 members: JinJin, MJ, Eunwoo, Moonbin, Rocky, and Sanha. Moonbin was found dead at his home in Seoul on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the age of 25.
The name Astro means ‘star’ in Spanish. ASTRO represents the members’ pure desire to become a rising star.
The official fandom name of Astro is Aroha, which means “to Astro, the fans are their one and only”. Astro comes from the words ‘A’ and ‘RO’, which is the Korean for Astro and ‘HA’ comes from the word hana in Korean, meaning one or only.
