Singer to Make Her Debut with a Regular Role in Globo new Prime-Time telenovela “Mania de Você”.
You might have already known that “Mania de Você” will be Globo’s next prime-time soap opera. Written by João Emanuel Carneiro and with artistic direction by Carlos Araújo, the telenovela will feature a newcomer in the main cast: Gabz.
Chosen to play Viola, the young actress will be caught in a love triangle involving characters played by Nicolas Prattes and Chay Suede. Agatha Moreira will complete the romantic quartet of the story.
In “Mania de Você” Viola is a character who is always striving for a better life, falling in love with the bright side of things, persisting through difficulties, and cooking like no one else.
Who is Gabz?
Gabz, full name is Gabrielly Nunes, she was born in Irajá, a neighborhood in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. She is 25 years old in 2024. She began her career when she was still a child. Besides being an actress, she is also a singer and rapper. Gabz started in the arts by participating in SLAM battles (urban poetry competitions).
With four singles released, she recorded a collaboration with Baco Exu do Blues titled “Nada Vai Nos Parar.” In 2019, she performed at Rock in Rio, in the Espaço Favela, on the same day as acts like Mano Brown and Drake.
Her first acting role was as a child in the movie “Xuxa em Sonho de Menina” alongside the children’s icon Xuxa in 2007. That same year, she debuted on television in the fourth season of “Teca Na TV” on Canal Futura.
Gabz was also part of the cast of the remake of “Ciranda de Pedra” (2008) and made an appearance in “Viver a Vida” in 2009. After a ten-year hiatus, the actress returned to soap operas as Jaqueline in “Malhação: Toda Forma de Amar.”
Her most recent role in soap operas was as Laura in “Amor Perfeito,” the daughter of Wanda (Juliana Alves) and Silvio (Bukassa Kabengelle).
So far, Gabz has over 500,000 followers on just one social media platform.
