Rock in Rio 2024 – JULIANA LINHARES

JULIANA LINHARES

Juliana Linhares is a talented singer, songwriter, and actress from Rio Grande do Norte, known for her sweet voice, musical versatility, and stage presence. While relatively new to her solo career, she has been in the music industry for a long time, serving as the lead vocalist for the band Pietá since 2012 and being a member of the group Iara Ira.

In 2021, the artist released her debut solo album, “Nordeste Ficção,” which was influenced by the book “A Invenção do Nordeste e Outras Artes” by Durval Muniz de Albuquerque Jr. This album provided space for questioning the meanings of being a Northeasterner today, engaging in a dialogue through music with her references of what the Northeast is without stigmas.

Her authentic artistry and ability to tell stories through music make her one of the most promising voices in the contemporary Brazilian music scene.
