Skateboarding team faced a tough situation this Wednesday (07/24)
Rayssa Leal shared a series of videos on her Instagram stories explaining her experience of being “forgotten” at the skate park this Wednesday (07/24). The “fairy” took to social media to complain about how the athletes were “forgotten” at the park after their session.
She explained that after a two-hour training session, the athletes were supposed to have a bus to take them back to the Olympic Village. However, more than two hours past the scheduled time, the transportation still had not arrived.
When the situation was finally resolved and Rayssa reached the hotel, she explained the ordeal to her Instagram followers. “You have to understand that in this situation, no one is in control. Except for the drivers, who are behind the wheel and could have gone to the right place. They got lost, it happens. The same thing happened in the morning for the men’s team. A group went to the morning practice but ended up at a different location instead of the skate park. It’s a situation beyond our control; we can’t do anything but show up on time and get on the bus. But if the bus isn’t there, we’re stuck,” she said.
“By the way, Team Brazil brought us back to the Village by taxi. It’s all good, the issue is resolved. If it happens again tomorrow, we’ll let you know,” she continued. “I hope you understand, because I think I’ve never explained something so difficult, so quickly.”
