The Spanish team’s coach praises the Brazilian forward: “With the quality he has, it’s quite obvious.”
Carlo Ancelotti has given his seal of approval for Endrick to become a starter for Real Madrid in the future. According to the Spanish team’s coach, it’s a natural path for the 18-year-old Brazilian forward. Already thinking about rotating the squad throughout the season, the Italian coach hinted at the possibility of starting the young former Palmeiras player in upcoming matches.
“He will be a starter in one of the next games. It’s his future: he will be a starter for Real Madrid in many matches. With the quality he has, it’s quite obvious. He’s a very humble boy, who speaks very little and works hard. I really like that,” Ancelotti said in a press conference on Friday.
Endrick is currently a substitute in a Real Madrid team that includes Vinicius Junior, Mbappé, and Rodrygo as the main attackers. Despite his role and just 20 minutes of official game time (excluding stoppage time), he has scored two goals in a Real Madrid shirt. He found the net both in his official debut—sealing the 3-0 win over Valladolid in La Liga a month ago—and in his Champions League debut—scoring the third goal in a 3-1 victory over Stuttgart—both at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Real Madrid faces Espanyol this Saturday in the sixth round of La Liga, followed by a match against Alavés three days later, again at the Santiago Bernabéu. These two matches precede the derby against Atlético Madrid at the Metropolitano, also in La Liga, and the away game against Lille in the Champions League.
Real Madrid currently sits third in La Liga with 11 points, tied with rivals Atlético. Barcelona leads the table with a 100% record after five rounds.
