Rafaela took to Instagram Stories on Wednesday (7/10) to open up about the difficult times she endured alongside her mother.
The indirect accusation of abuse made by Ingrid Santa Rita during the reunion of the couples from “Love is Blind Brazil 4” continues to resonate on social media. After numerous protests and indignation from internet users, Ingrid’s daughter, Rafaela, decided to speak out on social media on Wednesday (7/10).
In an emotional outpouring shared on Instagram Stories, the young woman revealed that she was adopted by the architect, who is her cousin, after suffering sexual abuse in her childhood.
“For those who watched the reunion of ‘Love is Blind Brazil 4’ and saw the outcome of my mother and Leandro… Look, it’s disgusting! Those were extremely difficult, traumatizing days with many triggers for me and my sister, as her daughters!” Rafaela began.
She continued her account, confirming the adoption and the rapes she endured: “For those who still doubt, I am indeed an adopted daughter! I experienced sexual abuse/rape in my childhood, up until I was 12 years old, where my biological mother didn’t care about my trauma or my pain at all, she completely disbelieved me,” she affirmed before adding:
“And Ingrid, who was just my cousin at the time, took me in to raise and be my mother, with all my traumas. She gave me everything I expected from a mother. She gave me a lap to cry on, affection, and taught me to be the strong woman I am becoming more and more each day,” she declared.
Rafaela then addressed internet users: “Please, do not have any more doubts, do not make any more ridiculous comments about this because it hurts! My head gets very troubled with this whole situation my mother went through,” she wrote.
In conclusion, she spoke again about what happened to her mother and expressed her love: “It’s very hard for me to hear about this abuse, very hard to hear my mother go through a trauma that I experienced for 4 years. It hurts me a lot to see my mother in this state! But everything will get better! Mom, you are strong, know that I am with you forever! I love you!” she concluded.
Understanding what happened
In the early hours of Wednesday (7/10), Netflix released the reunion episode of the fourth season of “Love is Blind Brazil” and one scene shocked the internet. Ingrid Santa Rita made serious accusations against Leandro Marçal, insinuating that she was allegedly abused by him during their time together.
“When I chose you as my husband, I imagined that, since you have three sisters, you would know what not to do. You didn’t. You disrespected me several times. I protected you every day in the reality show, from day one, from the honeymoon. For those who doubt, the sexual problem was Leandro’s. Leandro was impotent,” she revealed.
Ingrid continued her account: “I understood, I embraced you as a man, as a black man, breaking the stereotype that a black man always needs to be ready for good sex, like a black woman.”
The former reality participant emphasized that she supported Leandro, even though he refused help. “But when we went to my house, you wanted to handle it alone, Leandro. I told you: ‘Go to therapy. I will wait. I will be patient with you, and when all this is over and dissolved, I will still be here waiting for you. We will reconnect. We will do couples therapy and reconnect,” she emphasized.
At that point, Ingrid made a strong confession, detailing how she and her ex-husband interacted intimately:
“First I slept naked, then I slept in panties, then I started sleeping in pajamas, then I took the pillow and went to sleep on my couch, avoiding you in my bed, in my room, in my house. You didn’t respect me any day, that’s why I ended it with you,” she concluded.
She also recalled that she became ill due to the situation, witnessed by part of her family. “The day my daughters found me on the floor having a panic attack, begging you not to touch my body, I asked you not to touch me. I asked more than once, Leandro, for you not to touch me, and you didn’t respect me,” she stated.
Santa Rita asserted that she had no voice with Marçal, who wanted to keep the marriage as it was: “You didn’t listen to me. You wanted to solve your erectile problem on your own. It was your ego. It was your lies. Because you just wanted to keep that marriage in your dirty and filthy way.”
Finally, without naming what Leandro Marçal specifically did, Ingrid Santa Rita demanded that her ex-husband stay away from her life: “I am making it very clear so that everyone here hears, I don’t want this man near me. You have no right. Tell me, Leandro, what you did to me,” she concluded.
